How is the Procedure being performed?

The first is a laser treatment that helps tighten and plump up the overall face, targeting volume in the skin. The next step is a fractional laser treatment to target skin imperfections that can age the skin. This stage is called FRAC3 and helps reduce and remove dark spots, age spots, and red spots along with vascular imperfections. The third stage of the Fotona 4D Laser treatment is the use of the Piano Mode. This stage specifically targets skin laxity to firm and tighten the face overall. The final stage is a polishing peel to remove dead skin cells and restore a bright and youthful complexion to the face.

What is the downtime with the Laser Facelift?

Patients usually experience only some redness or swelling afterward, but nothing harsh or that would impact their day-to-day activities.

Why is this procedure better than other treatments?

This laser treatment is unique because part of the process actually happens intraorally using one of the Fotona handpieces. The rest of the laser procedure happens on the exterior of the face as per usual.

When do I see the results?

Results can be seen immediately following treatment with the long-term skin tightening and wrinkle removal. Intensive deep tissue firming and tone is expected in a one year term.

Fotona 4D is a four-dimensional treatment that lifts the face, reducing wrinkles and tightening the skin. 4D laser treatment moves in 4 stages.

Smooth Lift

A revolutionary non-ablative Er:YAG intraoral treatment for controlled and gentle “bulk-heating” to stimulate collagen contraction. In addition to an immediate effect resulting in the shrinkage of collagen fibers, the initiation of new collagen generation occurs. The effects result in an overall improvement of tightness and elasticity in the treated tissue as well as a plumping effect to the nasolabial folds from the inside, much like a filler.

Frac3 Skin Rejuvenation

A self-induced, fractional effect of the Nd:YAG laser and a specific pulse structure that generates tiny regional spikes of high temperature. This nonablative modality enables the treatment of specific, deeper imperfections to complement the effect of the intraoral treatment, as well as restore youthful texture.

Piano Skin Tightening

A unique, ultra-long Nd:YAG pulse mode for the third stage of Fotona4D®. The laser causes bulk tissue heating safely and rapidly, from the outside in, by concentrating energy delivery subcutaneously. The PIANO® pulse is in the super- extended seconds regime mode, with a brushing technique for completing the full-thickness bulk heating with an overall synergistic tightening effect.

Light Peel

A light cold Er:YAG ablation that gives a pearl finish to the skin. SupErficial™ additionally improves the appearance of the skin and reduces imperfections by using propriety VSP technology, enabling the operator to easily adjust the laser to an extremely controlled light peel, without thermal effects, for a no-downtime, precise treatment.
